Pastel Haven

This beautiful humming bird is called Huckleberry
and is part of the new Pastel Haven Collection
 launching at 7pm tonight
on Create and Craft.

I have used the Fresco diamond for the base easel card.
I used a pale lilac card for the base and white for the intricate layer.
I then used some of the gorgeous pastel designed papers
from the USB. edged with clear gems.

I used the same pale lilac card for the matt layer of Huckleberry
and the Charisma image for Huckleberry himself
and layered him with foam tape to give some dimension.

The flowers are from the Savannah die set and Charisma from the USB.
I also added some ink around the edges of the flowers to
make them stand out a little bit more and shaped them with
a ball tool for dimension.

Adding some more gems to the flowers finished off the card.
Hope you like the card and will be tuning in
for the launch, I know I will.

Happy crafting

Egyptian Cat

Morning all it's a lot brighter here today.
The sun is shinning and the wind has dropped
perfect for the first day of Spring.

Today's card is one I created for the launch of the
Egyptian Collection by Tattered Lace.
Three sets of the dies were used
The Egyptian Cat
The Egyptian Florals
and the Triangle set.
I also used papers from the USB for the background.

The card is A5 with the fold at the top, tent style.
I added a black matt layer and a layer of patterned paper.
I used the triangle die to cut the middle part into 5 pieces
and the cut the top and bottom into tile shapes.
I then layered each piece onto the black matt with 3Dfoam
to add a bit of dimension.

Next I printed out the matching Charisma sheets
for the cat and the florals and created my own decoupage.
After die cutting them out I placed them on the card,
cutting the florals apart to make it a wider arrangement.

The final touch was to add gems to the corner of each
section to help define the edges.

So many cards to share with you over the next
few days from this collection.
Hope you will pop by to take a look .

Bye for now
Happy crafting

Ribbon Delight

Hi there , how you doing?
Not liking this rain and wind we are having at the moment.
Still more to come , or so the weatherman says!!
Oh well more time for crafting..

This card was made for the launch of Corrine's
Trinity Signature Collection
By Tattered Lace on Create and Craft.
Her idea was to provide us with dies, matt dies and stamps
that would work together with our crafty stash to bring it all together.

I am absolutely loving this banner/ribbon/tag.
I have found it so useful and I am sure you will see it
popping up on a lot of my cards in the future.

The papers are also designed by Corrine and are available on a USB.
This  can be taken into My Craft Studio and layered
with digital masks and overlays, the amount you can
create is endless with so many colour hues available.

The dies make the tails so perfect a match, no longer will you have
lop sided matts and layers for them.

The card above is really simple to create but I think
it still gives an elegant look.
It's a black A5 card with the fold at the top, tent style.
I matted with a beautiful paper from the USB.
I then die cut 5 back large ribbons and 5 patterned medium ribbons
and cut then to varying lengths, creating an arch sort of shape.
I added them to the card with 3d foam pads.

My next job was to cut the long black banner ,
by placing the open ended die
on to the black card, place it through the die cutting machine.
I  then turned it around to cut the tails at the other end,
by lining it back up to the bit that I had just cut. A perfect and balanced banner.
Repeat the same method for the patterned layer.

I added some 3D florals and some gems to add that finishing touch.
I hope you like it. I think the black makes the pink pop, do you?

Tomorrow I will be adding some more cards created
using the same collection of dies and stamps from Corrine .

Thanks for popping by

until next time

Candle's or Tags

Hi fellow crafter's on this very wet and windy day here in the UK.
Our garden keeps flooding in the corner,
but not enough to worry about Thank goodness.

Today's card is from the 'Burst of Spring' (pansies) collection
 by Heartfelt Creations.
I think the main reason this collection appealed to me
is I just love the picket fence and can see me using it
on so many cards for many occasions.

The idea behind this card was to create a pocket using the Fence.
Filling it with tags and adding loads of 3d flowers.
Now it is finished the more I look at it, I think they look like candle's
What do you think?

It took me approx. two hours to make, including all the stamping and colouring.

I started with a 6x6inch square card base in white.
Matted a layer of purple card and another smaller matt layer in lilac
from the paper pad, part of the Burst of Spring collection.

Next I stamped, die cut and coloured two fence panels,
and a selection of pansies and leaves.
I also created 3 tags with white card and inked with dusty concord.

Once all the components were ready I attached the fence panels
with 3D foam pads. Adding the 3 tags into the pocket the fence
had created, also with 3D foam pads.
Next I added the pansies and leaves, laying them down first to decide on
the layout before gluing them down finally with 3D glue gel.

I added some matching gems to the top corners and also
onto the tags to give a bit of sparkle .

I was going to add a greeting onto the front of the fence panels
but decided I would wait until I knew where it was going!

I am really loving all the new releases from Heartfelt Creations
along with some amazing designs and dies from Tattered Lace.
I find them both as companies so inspiring and they
have both helped me find my mojo again.

Tomorrow I will be sharing an Egyptian themed card
from Tattered Lace.

Thanks for popping by
Hope to see you again soon

Red Poppy

Hi folks, how the weather has changed today.
After all the lovely sunshine we now have
gale force winds on the way and rain!
Oh well it was nice while it lasted .

Today's card is an easel style, Yes I know lol but they are
my favourite style ,so I am allowed haha.

I have used Tattered Lace Woodside Blooms Circle die
which is just gorgeous. A good size to use as a card base.
I also used some of the paper from the Heavenly Blooms cd
to add some background colour.

I printed out the red poppy 3d Charisma sheet from the cd
and using the Heavenly Blooms Poppy die set,
cut it out and layered it using 3d foam pads.

I absolutely love these larger flowers.
So easy to put together, no fiddly pieces
to have to mess around with. All you need to do is
decide where you want to place it on your card.

I then recut the circle die again and cut it in half to
make the stopper then  added some gems. All it needs now is a
greeting when I decide who it is going to sent to .

I have also made some more easels with other die sets
and different coloured poppies, also from the Heavenly Blooms CD .

I hope you like them and they only took me an afternoon to make all three.

Thanks for popping by

until next time

Inside Easel

Afternoon crafter's.

It's been really foggy here this morning but thankfully
the sun is now burning through and turning into a lovely day.

Today I thought I would show you a card I have made using
Heartfelt Creations Tulip time collection. Such a beautiful collection
of stamps and matching dies.

For this I have created what I call an inside easel card base.
Basically it is a card placed within a card to sit as if an easel.
You can see this better from the side view below.

I matted and layered all sides with gorgeous paper from the Tulip
Time paper pad. I then stuck the smaller card to the inside of the larger
one as shown. I'll start with the outside front which is in the photo below.

Using one of the larger square toppers from the paper pad,
which I matted onto to black card and then again onto the backing paper.
I inked the edges to blend them in.
I stamped, die cut , coloured, then shaped the small flowers,
the jug and leaves from the Tulip collection and also leafy accents.
Arranging then onto the topper with 3d glue gel and/or foam pads.

Turning to the inside base.
I die cut 2x Ornate pocket accent die and cut them down to fit.
Then for the stopper I die cut 1x Decorative pocket accent.
I drew around the outside of the same die to create a matt in matching paper.
Adding this to the front of the base with 3d foam.

Now the front facing us.
Again die cut 2x Ornate pocket accent, again matching
it up and cutting away the overlap Making sure you
line up the pattern for a neater finish.
I cut out a shaped topper from the paper pad and added it to the card
centrally with foam pads.
Next I stamped , die cut, coloured and shaped some of the Leafy accents,
2x planters and 3x stem tulips.
These were all added to the card base and were stuck down
once I was happy with the layout.

For extra effect I added some tiny gems around
the edge of the inner panel and also a small tag from the paper pad.

The card is now finished, but you could also add glitter etc if you wanted to.
Me and glitter don't get on lol

Hope you like the card and hope to see you again soon.

Bye for now

Egyptian Floral

Morning Crafter's

I love floral cards and this one is made from
the Egyptian Classic collection which launched today.

I love easel cards.... as you may have noticed lol

To create the frame I chose a paper from the matching USB.
I like looking into the smaller parts to see if I can do something
different with it and this one jumped out at me.

The semi circle shape just shouted out to me!
So I cut them all out individually and began shape building.
It started off as one ring, but it soon grew thicker.

The paper had the same blue in it as the Charisma for the florals,
which I used in the centre, cutting it multiple times to create my own 3d decoupage.

Simple , but time consuming fussy cutting out the shapes,
but that is a part of crafting I love, so no problem.

Hope you manage to do some crafting today.

See you again soon

Tutankhamun

Good morning crafter's, another mild and sunny day. Aren't we doing well!

Today I thought I would share a sneaky peak of Tutankhamun.
part of an Egyptian themed Charisma and die set that is
launching on Create and Craft tomorrow morning at 8am.

I had fun working with these dies and Charisma images
being a decoupager they suit me down to the ground.

This is an A5 card in portrait style which I layered with
a backing sheet from the USB, which is part of this collection.

I used both the Nile and Tutankhamun die and Charisma on
this card, hopefully creating a realistic scene.

I wanted to create a scroll effect down the left hand side, so I used a strip
of white card. I tore down each side to create the rough edges.
I Inked the card all over and then spritzed it with water and scrunched it up.
Once dry I reinked the edges and folded ridges to high light
the crumpled effect. I added a rolled up piece of black card
at the top and attached with 3d foam pads.

I hope you like the effect and will tune in for the show.

Create and Craft Saturday 8am
Tattered Lace Egyptian Classics

You never know you might see some more of my cards and
more of the design teams wonderful creations.

Happy Crafting

Afternoon Crafty friends

It has been beautiful weather here the last few days,
 definitely more like spring.
Just love it when the nights draw out and the days get longer.
More time for crafting in the day light.

The sunshine inspired this card , created using goodies from Heartfelt Creations.
I adore their stamps and dies and along with Tattered Lace
are my favourite companies at the moment.

This is an 8x8 card base. I inked the edges to give it a softer feel.
I used a topper from the Tulip paper pad collection and matted it onto black card.
I stamped, cut and coloured the fence panels, added them with
3d foam pads to give dimension.
I stamped cut and coloured the tulip border and added it along the front.
The large flowers are the Classic Rose stamps and die set
along with Leafy Accents which have been shaped using
the special leafy accents mould. I love how the moulds make
the flowers look more realistic in a short amount of time.
The tag was also from the Tulip paper collection pad.

I thought the top looked a bit bare so I added a border die in layers
and added some gems and that is it , my finished card.

I have been playing with some lovely projects which I will be able to
share with you all at a later date.

Have a lovely day, with hopefully some crafting time.

Bye for now

Snowy morning

Good Morning everyone, gosh is it cold today.
We have some snow, not as much as some people but enough
to be going on with thank you very much!!

Today's card is one I made yesterday using Tattered Lace
Postcard collection. I just love the delicate and classy look to the images.
This one is an 8 x 8 card base, layered with backing paper from the USB .

I printed out the topper sheet and decoupage sheet,
cut them out using the matching dies and layered them up.

To make the topper a bit wider, I cut the blank topper down
and placed it at the side.
I added ribbon and gems and the card was finished.

The Charisma and die system is great for me as I don't like colouring
very much.It is so quick and easy to do and you get a lovely effect.
The bleed lines give  a perfect finish every time,
leaving you free to play with the layout.

So quick that I made another card with a similar theme, except this time I added
some larger flowers up the side to give it a different effect.

I had been watching it snow while I was crafting and when I came downstairs
this is what it looked like. It does look pretty, but oh so cold!

Hope you are safe and warm wherever you are.

Happy crafting

Until next time

               2019

Hi everyone a new year and a new start here on my blog.

After my special friend Jayne Nestorenko passed away
my creative side went into hiding. I had no interest in crafting at all.
I know this would have upset Jayne, as it was her passion too.
After redesigning and refitting my craft room, I am now back
with my mojo well and truely reinstated.

After watching Create and Craft and Hochanda and seeing
all the wonderful new products out there, how
could I not want to get back to my crafting.

At the moment I am loving the 3d dies and Charisma images from Tattered Lace.

Heartfelt Creations stamp, die and paper pad collections

Tonic Memory book dies

 closely followed by

Crafter's companion 3d embossing folders and dies

Now my problem is keeping up with all the new products!!

I know we are already at the end of January! can you believe it??
But I have decided to post my latest creations onto my long forgotten blog
as from today. I hope you will join me in my crafting journey.

So I thought I'd start with the last card I created using
Tattered Lace Heavenly Blooms collection which I absolutely love.
They are large 3d dies and on this card I have used the daisy.

I used the Easy Easel card die, but not as it was designed to be.

Instead I folded the base and matt layer in half.

Cut two extra side panels, which I then cut down
and mounted on card, to create a centre pocket.

I used the centre matt die to create the tags. I found these
to be too wide. So I recut it matching up the middle
point to make it narrower. Cut them in half and slipped
three into the pocket. Inked the edges to make them stand out.

I then printed out the Charima images for the Daisy and die cut them.
Using 3d foam pads to give dimension, I added them to the corner.

Quite an easy card to make, but I hope you agree it is affective
and fresh looking.

I hope you will pop back to see what I have been creating.
Leave me a message If you like what you see.

Bye for now my crafty friends
See you soon
