Venetian Jewel

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing with you a card I have made
using Jayne Nestorenko's
Venetian Lady and the single jewel from
the accessories stamp plate.

The background papers are  made up from
the  jewel stamp. There are numerous ways
to make patterns with it, for this card I have used only two.

The main background I used the jewel to make some flower like shapes,
joining them at the narrowest end.
Then linking each flower from the swirl end.
I stamped onto neenah card with distress inks (mustard seed).
After edging the card with the same colour ink.
I then went over each jewel with glossy accents to give
them a more 3D glossy gem appearance.
This intensifies the colour and gives them a warm glow.

For the layers I have used the same white neenah card.
Stamped the jewels in staggered rows using
 mustard seed distress ink.
I took the same colour and distressed the edges,
coming in to the centre to add some warmth to the base.
Again I have coated the jewels with glossy accents, but
not behind where the lady sits as that would be a waste of product.

The same stamp but they look totally different !

I have then  mounted the die cut onto some green
card and added some cosmic glue faux pearls
around both the edge of the card and the topper.
The finishing touches with the ribbon and knot
and the sentiment layered onto the same green card.

So now I am going to play with some more patterns
using the jewel stamp, to make some more interesting background papers.

Watch this space if you want to see more ways
of using the stamps.

until then
