Christmas Joy

Hi there crafter's
Sorry I haven,t been around much lately,
but with all the shopping etc needed for the
forth coming season I unfortunately haven,t
had much time to craft or blog.
Thank you to all my new followers and
for the lovely messages I receive.

So today I am sharing with you this card
which I made last year and it must
have been a spare one as I came across it the other day.
It won,t make it to next year though as its already
winging its way to a friend.

The card base uses Jayne's Winter tales CD rom
which I have decoupaged to give depth , but kept
the shape of the image.
I have added the choir girl from Jayne's Adorable's
Christmas collection of stamps.
Don,t they work so well together.

Forgot to add the glitter ooopppss!!!!!!!!!!

I keep putting these stamps away but no
sooner than I do and they end back up on my desk!!
Adorable by name, Adorable by nature !

Hope you are all progressing nicely with your Christmas
plans and you are all keeping safe and warm.

This card I am dedicating to YOU
my followers

HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS
AND A
JOYFUL NEW YEAR

until next time

Adorable Christmas

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing with you the card
that I sent Jayne last year.
It was made using the Christmas Adorables
CD rom, the decoupage and backing papers.

The Christmas Adorables collection include
6 sets of stamp plates and a CD rom and all
are available from Jayne's website.

On this one I choose to use the decoupage little girl
with the kitten, she is just so adorable!!
I wonder how Jayne decided on the name?? lol.

The card base is a 3D box style that
 the inner window part moves.
It pulls flat to post and the window starts
to open as you do so.

I created a scene behind the window using
a tree from one of the other plates.
Th e window is actually from a Cute Companions CD,
I just love how all Jayne;s collections work
so well together .

The card base is a backing paper that I printed
direct to card so create a fancy base.
I added Card Candi to the edges to add some interest
and the insert sits on the reverse.
Added a sentiment to the top font and there
you have it.
Jayne was delighted with it , let's hope she
likes this years card.

If you like the look of the Adorables
why not pop over to Jayne's website gallery
and blog for lots more inspiration.

until next time

Patchwork Jennie

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing another Jennie card,
a member of the Patchwork Polly group!
From Jayne Nestorenko.

Well it is my name and I just love the pose as if she's thinking
about what she should be doing.
This is so like me , I,d forget my head if it was loose.

For the card base I used the corner's from the collection
of stamp plates. I just love the polka dot one and
it is so useful and can be used in many ways.

I,ve also used the floral corner to give a lighter background.

I stamped  Jennie with Momento ink and coloured
them with Promarker's, it was well before I knew
how to do shading, so the colours are a bit heavy!

I added the teddy for her to hold and added a sentiment.
I kept to reds, blues and yellows to keep it quite simple.

It has been great fun looking back through my pictures and cards from
the past and now I must get them out again
and make some fresh cards.
I just need to find more time in which to do so !! lol

So until next time

Christmas Wishes

Hi there crafter's
Today I am sharing another Christmas card that I
have made using the gorgeous evergreen tree and reindeer
from Jayne Nestorenko's latest collection.

I have used a pre bought and cut card base which
I stamped around the edges with the stamps from
the matching accessories stamp plate.
Going off the edge of the page to add to the effect of looking into the card.
These I coloured with just three promarkers,
then matted and layered the inner panels.

I used distress ink to create the background,
then stamped , coloured and cut out the tree and reindeer.
Which I then attached with 3D glue gel.
Added a sentiment on matching card and there you have it,
one quick but hopefully elegant card.

I am entering this into Sheila's competition and should have posted this first
so hope fully it will still count with me posting half an hour after entering !!

Happy crafting everyone
until the next time

Poinsettia Candle Holder

Hi there crafter's
Today I am sharing with you
this candle holder I have made using the
 Christmas Poinsettia wreath stamp
from Jayne Nestorenko.

Those of you who attended the workshop in October
may have already seen this gift, because Jayne kindly put it on show.

I started with some candles that I had bought
and measured the width of two standing side by side.
Then the depth backwards and the height I wanted the front to be .
This just then needed a few calculations which would allow be to
turn it into a box with a high back.

I used a die to create the back shape and layered it
with white card, which I had scored into a lattice design.
I added cosmic glue pearls in the lattice
frame work to give it definition.
I then stamped, coloured and cut out the Poinsettia wreath.
This is quite fiddly but not impossible to do, it is designed to be
stamped direct to card, but I,m a decoupager primarily
so well up for the challenge lol.
I have decoupaged the poinsettia layers to add
to the realism of the image.
Around the box base I also added the same lattice style
white background and used some of the stamped
wreath leaves and berries as decoration.
It was very simple to make and makes a nice gift for any friend.

Here it is from another angle .

I hope you are nearly finished with making your Christmas cards
or should I say at least started them lol

Have a lovely weekend.
until next time

Snowy  Reindeer

Hi there crafter's
First of all I would like to thank all my new followers
for joining me on my crafting journey.
Welcome and please feel free to leave a comment or email me.
Secondly I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful comments
and feedback on the Advent Calendar tutorial.
I have had numerous emails and it's inspired many of you to adapt it
into different styles and shapes.
I am so looking forward to seeing what you make, have fun .

I hope those of you who went to the NEC
had a really good time and purchased lots of goodies.
I didn,t get the chance , maybe next time .

So today I am sharing a card that I have
made using Jayne Nestorenko's
latest reindeer and  accessories stamps.

The card base is an 8x8 inch square card which I matted
and layered with greens and whites.
Also adding in a brown layer to help tie in the reindeer.

I used the sprig stamp and a branch stamp
randomly around the outer edges.
Stamping off the page to give a more natural effect.
As if you are looking in through a thicket of trees.

I have coloured them using Promarkers in only 3 colours.
I then stamped, coloured and cut out the reindeer
because I wanted more of a 3D effect,
 attached him with 3D glue.
Then added glue dots around to give
the effect of snow.
I hope you,ll agree it's a simple to create card but
effective at the same time.

I,m loving the samples Jayne has in her gallery,
new ones have been added this week.
Why not pop over and take a look.

Until the next time

Reindeer Trio

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing a card that I have made
using the new reindeer stamps from the lovely

Jayne Nestorenko

The card base was made using a Glitter girls
embossing board, incorporating the different layers.

A lattice die was used to create the background,
then laid some more green card over the middle .

The three reindeer's were then stamped,
coloured and cut out, then mounted with 3D glue gel.

Some cosmic glue dots on the edges and a sentiment to
finish off the card.
So another card to tick off my list.

This card I posted on facebook over the
last few days.

With this one i have inked the background,
cut out with a die and layered onto some navy card.

The tree was stamped, coloured with promarker's
then cut out and layered on top.

Another tick off my list , its going down!

Have a good day and I hope your Christmas card
list is slowing being completed.
I,ve nearly finished writing mine too!
have you?

until next time

Christmas magic

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing a card I made a couple
of weeks ago.
I used the sprigs from the accessories plate ,
the reindeer in two of the sizes and the evergreen tree,
which pulls three of the stamp plates together.

I stamped the sprigs around the edges going off the page,
coloured with promarkers using only three colours.
I then stamped, coloured and cut out the tree
and reindeers and mounted them onto the card
with glue. That's the decoupager in me coming out.
You could stamp the images direct to the card, but
I like to cut out, but thats just me.
I then matted onto green and white card and
decided to make it a longer card.
So i added ribbon to the side and a die cut to add interest,
another die cut for the sentiment and the card was complete.

Hope you like it and are enjoying making
your christmas cards , or have you not started yet!!

until the next time

Evergreen tree

Hi crafter's

Today I,m sharing a simple and understated
card which is unusal for me. lol .

I have used the evergreen tree from
Jayne Nestorenko's latest release.
Also a Glitter girls embossing board.
I,ve made it slightly 3D by raising up the
white layer and added gold peel offs, to add definition.

The tree is stamped, coloured and cut out
and added with 3D glue gel.
I,ve also added some layers of torn card to create a snow drift
and added glitter to the edge.
Added a sentiment across the middle
and there you have it a very quick and
easy card suitable for anyone.

Here are a couple more I have posted
on my face book page over the last few days.

This one also uses the evergreen tree and
another embossing board but don,t they look so different.

With this one I used distress inks to create the background
then stamped the birch trees over the top.
Stamped in the ground worker stamp and the
medium sized reindeer.
They are coloured with a mixture of promarkers
and distress inks and I found they worked quite well together .
I added some shadows along the ground
and then added a sentiment.
It looks a very stormy day doesn,t it!!

Happy crafting and don,t forget to keep
a look out for the advent calendar tutorial coming very soon.

until the next time

Beautiful Evergreen Tree

Good morning crafter's

It's a lot calmer today and thankfully no more snow,
so no more weather excuses to craft today !! lol

Here is a card I have made using the accessories
stamps and the evergreen tree from
Jayne Nestorenko's
latest collection of stamps.
These are so useful and the foliage sprigs around the
edge of the card would make a lovely frame
for any image or decoupage .
I just love them, there's a pine cone too which could
be decoupaged to give more depth if needed.

It's a very simple card to make, basic matting layering.
Then I stamped the corner foliage sprig
in all four corners going slightly off the page.
Then I filled in the gaps with the single bough
stamping off the page again to give a more random effect,
also at different angles to give variety.
These are so versatile for such a small and single image.

I then coloured them with Promarker's using
only three colours.
Then I stamped , coloured and cut out the evergreen tree
and attached it with 3D glue gel to add depth.

I used the snow fall stamp around the edges
going over them with glitter ,
added a sentiment with matching card to tone it in.

I hope you agree a very suitable card for any friend
or family member.

Are you all enjoying using the new stamps,
the samples I have seen have been stunning.

For those of you who were interested in the advent
calendar that I made and shared with you a while back,
you will hopefully be pleased to hear
I have nearly finished a tutorial which will be
available on Jayne's website in the very near future.
I will let you know when it is there.

Have fun crafting

Merry Christmas

Hi there crafter's

Gosh is it cold today!

Here is a card that I have made using
the Accessories plate from the new
Christmas collection from Jayne Nestorenko.

I have used the sprigs and bunches with berries to
stamp around the edges going off the page.
I used Promarker's to colour them in
with just three colours.
Added the sentiment in the middle and as
a stopper on the base.
A ribbon added and a pine cone on the corner of the tag.

I,ve kept it simple and placed the
verse under the base of the card.

These stamps are so useful I,m finding
it hard to stop .
Here is another card that I have
posted on facebook over the last few days.

I hope you like them and if you are
tempted to have a go , pop over to Jayne's website shop.

There are lots of new exciting new things
happening in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled.

have fun crafting

Reindeer Shaker Card

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing with you a shaker card
that I made last week.
I used the reindeer and evergreen tree
from Jayne Nestorenko's
latest collection of stamps.

With them being an obvious choice for Christmas,
I thought a shaker card was a must.
So I first embossed some dark green card
and inked over the raised parts with a lighter green
to bring out the design.
I then stamped, coloured and cut out the evergreen tree
and medium sized reindeer and using 3D glue gel,
stuck them in place.

Then using a Glitter Girls embossing board I created
this shaped card, which was quite easy to turn into
a shaker style card.
On the raised dots I placed some gold
coloured cosmic glue to create faux pearls and
card candi for the corners.
I aimed for part traditional and
part contempary at the same time.

Does it work?
Well i,ll leave that for you to decide .

Here are a couple more cards I have made
using the same new collection of stamps.

This card uses the same reindeer but this time I added
the silver birch trees, but turned them blue!!

This one again uses blues,
it must have been my colour of the day.

Here I have used the evergreen tree
and glittered the snow covered boughs in white glitter.
Creating my favourite easel style of card.
Sorry but I can,t resist!!

Hope you like the cards and if you would like to
see a lot more, don,t forget to pop over to Jayne's
website or facebook page.

More cards in the next day or so.

until then

Christmas is coming!!

Hi there crafter's

Today I am pleased to be sharing with you a couple
of cards I have made using

Jayne Nestorenko's

brand new collection of stamps.
They are from the Just My Imagination range
and include four stamp plates, which are now
availble from Jayne's website shop, exclusively!

They include Reindeer, birch trees a wonderful
snow covered evergreen tree and
lots of lovely useful accessories  to play with.

The card above I decided to keep simple and elegant.
 I hope I have succeeded.
I stuck to beige and white tones to tie it all together.
The base layer is a lattice design created on
the Hoogie board, so simple to do ,
but very effective for any white space.

I have used the Heirloom bauble die to mount the
reindeer onto and matted with beige.
Added a ribbon bow to the top and each
and the card is complete.
I hope you like it.

Yesterday I put on facebook and Jayne's
facebook page another card from this range.

This one includes the fantastic evergreen tree
don,t you just love it? so useful for any card
and so beautiful when glittered,
flaked or flower soft to add extra texture.
How amazing is Jayne!

If you would like to enter two competitions
to win a set of these stamps,
you need to pop over to Jayne's

Time for Tea with Jayne Nestorenko

face book page for the details.

One is to make a card and the other you just need to
leave a comment under the card competition in the gallery.
How simple is that??

Also why not head over to Jayne's website

www.jaynenestorenko.com

to visit her shop and inspirational gallery.

That,s all for today, because I want to go
have another play with my stamps.

So until the next time

Holly Plate

Hi there crafter's

Today I am sharing with you this
plate style card using
Jayne Nestorenko's
new christmas wreath stamps.
Arn,t they just gorgeous and so traditional.
The plate shape was created using a
spellbinder die and layered with coordinating card.
A few peel offs were added to give edging to the layers.

The design itself is watercoloured
and layered up with 3D glue gel.
A sentiment added and bobs your uncle!!

I hope you agree a classy looking card and
suitable for any family member or friend.

Here is the poinsettia version

I kept this to the traditional reds,
keeping to the same plate style.

Don,t you just love the stand?

Again try colouring it in different colours
for a totally different effect.

I hope I have inspired you to have a go.

If you are tempted to but them or need more
inspiration, then why not pop over to
Jayne's website    www.jaynenestorenko.com
or Time for tea with Jayne Nestorenko       facebook page.
